- On or about 16-Mar-96 03:59:58 Jay Swackhamer typed the following words about
- "Amiga News readers?". My reply is thus...
-
- Hi Jay,
-
-
- JS> What news reading sotware is there available for me to get my hands on?
-
- JS> Thor: tried it, but it seems to be overly complicated for just
- JS> reading newsgroups... it also insists on reading in every *whole*
- JS> article, so I'd face an hour or so collecting news items, of which I'd
- JS> only read 10% of or so. I couldn't figure a way just to update the
- JS> article subjects, so I could then pick & choose.
-
- You can use the browse news feature of ConnectThor. It just gets the headers
- and then you pick the articles to download.
-
-
- JS> Mnews: this was a nice program; easy to use, does what
- JS> I want; unfortunately in its current release, it's single-threaded and a
- JS> bit buggy.
-
- JS> I don't want to try those Elm and Tin readers, because they seem to
- JS> want me to install UUCP.
